11/17/07 - Caitlin Breaks 500, 000 Hits on YouTube!! - There are a dozen videos currently posted on YouTube featuring Caitlin playing drums, guitar, bass and singing her original music. The views range from a few hundred to a few hundred thousand hits. Her most popular vidoe continues to be the video recorded at Toad's Place when Caitlin opened the show for MTV Star Cheyenne Kimball. That video is currently at 225, 000 views alone! There are also other videos of Caitlin floating around the internet that have not been included in this count. July 16, 2007 -Caitlin Endorses Vater Percussion ! - Who says MySpace is all bad? Caitlin recently recieved a friend request from Vater Percussion on her www.myspace.com/caitlindrums site. Caitlin responded with a definite yes and wrote that she loves their sticks. A few weeks later Caitlin received an email stating they want to offer a FULL endorsement to her. Caitlin is extremely honored to be a part of the Vater company and excited to be using their products full time. "They make one of the few drum sticks that don't fray when I play them a lot", said Caitlin, "I'll be using the 5B Hickory Wood tipped stick exclusively."
May 20, 2007 - Caitlin Wins The I-95 radio "Drum Idol" - After arriving at the Ridgefield Playhouse at 3:30pm, Caitlin found out she was the only girl out of 20 contestants 16 and under. The day started with an awesome 9 year old who tore through "Sweet Home Alabama" and continued through tunes by Green Day, The Ramones, Velvet Revolver, Steppenwolf and more. Each player seemed to be better then the last and the competition was high. It came time for Caitlin to play and the song she chose to play with the house band "Fast Ricky" was "Thing Called Love" by the Darkness. Energy was in the air and the beats were spot on. Caitlin felt confident but there were awesome players so the hopes weren't that high. When they announced the 5 finalists, Caitlin was on the list. Now the competition was stepping up for the final showdown. Each of the five finalist tore through their respective songs (Caitlin chose "Slither" by Velvet Revolver) with power, flash and expertise but when it was all said and done, Caitlin's name was announced as the winner!
May 1, 2007 - Caitlin joins the Rockhouse Method staff. Caitlin has been asked to joing the Rockhouse Method Instructional staff as a "young musicians" consultant. Caitlin will be helping other young musicians by giving advice on how she got started along with practice tips, gig info and general questions.
APRIL 6, 2007 - Caitlin and THE BREAKFAST - Once again Caitlin sat in with THE BREAKFAST at Toad's Place. Adrian was awesome and invited Caitlin up to jam during his solo. Look for a video on the "sights and sounds" . If you haven't check out THE BREAKFAST yet...I highly recommend this band. They'll leave you with your jaw on the floor.
April 1, 2007 - Caitlin IN Print...... Caitlin is featured in two nationally distributed drum magazines for her WFD record. You can see her on both DRUM MAGAZINE (Page 137) and DRUMHEAD MAGAZINE (Page 89) The only bad part of the articles are that they mispelled her last name Caitlin Kalatus instead of Caitlin Kalafus....ahhhh who needs a last name. We know and love her as just "Caitlin" and that's all we need to know.
3/6/07 NEW BAND ------ Caitlin is playing in an awesome side project with Tim Palmieri and Adrian Tramontano of the band "The Breakfast".. Caitlin, Tim and Adrian are all multi-instrumentalist and will be switching up instruments throughout their sets. Look for Adrian and Caitlin to do some duo percussion or even a guitar piece featuring all three players. Who knows what we'll see...but one things for sure, it will be awesome!!! Tenative name for the new project is "Switch Up".

WFD PRESS RELEASE _ At barely 14 years old, Caitlin ‘Lead Foot’ Kalafus set two new WFD World records. Caitlin became the youngest person to ever hold a WFD World Record when she beat out a blistering 799 singles on the bass drum and taking the WFD World Record ‘Battle of the Feet’ (female division).
